LUMPINEE ‘’BANGKOK II”
- 23 AOÛT 2019
- BANGKOK ‘’THAÏLANDE’’
The evening, organized by Prestige Fight, saw many young Thai hopefuls take to the ring – Pumpitak, Mauangchai, Samae, to name a few. Young French phenomenon, Antar Kacem, resident of the famous Boxing St Fons club and the NAS-R team, K, entered the ring at Lumpinee for the first time. Fighting against the Thai Naruto in -65kg (-144 lbs), the Frenchman did not have the edge in this hard fought match. Disadvantaged by the long journey and the initial pressure, Antar displayed a great deal of courage and it was good experience for the boxer: to be repeated.
The name of Italy’s Matthias Gallo was also on the Fight Card that night. Based in Thailand and well accustomed to the Lumpinee ring, the Italian confirmed his championship status by beating his opponent, the Thai, Darky, in -63.5 kg (-116 lbs).
The evening’s main event pitted the technically skilled Petchpailin against Watchaparon in -52 kg (-116 lb). The fight was widely anticipated and largely dominated by Petchpailin who won the bout with a magnificent knee blow to the chest of his opponent. This was an important fight for the Thai, enabling him to climb higher up rankings and get closer to his goal: to win the belt.
